Pacific Ethanol
The Pacific Ethanol company is a corporation who is a leader in the production and marketing of ethanol with low carbon levels. Thanks to the production practices the company employs they are able to make ethanol that reduces the emissions of carbon dioxide by 40 percent as compared with traditional gasoline. In addition, the company is currently working towards finding new sources of renewable fuel including bio-diesel and the production of ethanol using cellulose.
Cellulose is a natural part of every plant. It can be found in plant stems and corn husks. Some detractors of ethanol fuel say it will take away from the world food source. However by utilizing cellulose, the non-edible part of the plant based food, there would be no shortage because the cellulose part of most plants is unable to be digested or is otherwise undesirable to eat. While there's no doubt there are unanswered questions and raging debates on the subject of ethanol, there's also no doubt of the great potential of this alternative fuel source. To meet the demand, this company is going to create more than 420 million gallons by the year 2010 placed strategically in the West.
The truth is that ethanol is an increasingly important aspect of the nation's energy conservation battle. When used as a fuel or an additive to gasoline, ethanol does have advantages. For example, it causes less pollution and dangerous emissions that lead to the devastation of global warming. Thanks to the Energy Bill of 2005, refiners are required to use at least 7.5 gallons of ethanol by the year 2012. If you have ever considered investing in ethanol or even converting your vehicle the time is now to give the subject some serious thought.
Pacific Ethanol is not the only ethanol production company in the USA. There are plenty others that work to produce high quality ethanol fuel as well. If you are considering a stock investment into ethanol then you should definitely research any and all companies you are considering investing in. Your broker or advisor can help you determine the right ethanol investment strategies to take if any. Regardless of your position regarding the use of ethanol fuel, you will surely be hearing more about this biofuel in the media as a greater number of Americans start recognizing its potential value as well as its potential drawbacks.
